I originally wanted to become a Mermaid, a being truly capable of living in the oceans of my homeworld. Through self-experimentation, masses of money and illegal science I was able to change my body through a mixture of technology and genetic alteration. My body and mind were perfect, designed to survive under the cold watery depths, I would swim and eat and explore and become free. As I was preparing to leave I was taken from my world by insane otherworldly beings calling themselves Ocean Gods. In their desire to make more of their kind, they drowned an entire planet, killed most of the population and turned the dead into constructs for their testing scenarios, the mountains and cities lie deep, deep below the surface. Some may have survived, hidden away in facilities at the bottom of the ocean. In their hatred of me they shut down my cybernetic implants, reduced my genetic advantages and forced me to join their game. Technology is evil in the eyes of the Drowned Gods. They believe in magic, in faith, in prayer dedicated to their service. Some of them hate me, and some support me. They have creatures called demi-gods under their control.
