Yari Sausbrough needs a vacation. A long vacation, far, far away from the city. Her cousin Alex has agreed to put her up for the summer, but it turns out he moved. Yari was expecting to spend her time in the quaint, but active little town of Watersmeet. Instead she finds herself in a tiny shack, surrounded by forest that may or may not be swarming with goblins, just east of a nothing town called River's Bend. Now this big city girl is stuck on a tiny homestead. Gardening, construction, and a village sized slice-of-life may be more than she bargained for. And dire wolves, because the ticks weren't bad enough.
