The Way Teller, a mortal man become Magi, has, after many centuries of adventures finally ceased his wanderings to settle in the place at his feet, to love a women who found him there and to recapitulate his Ways; to make his memories explicit, down on the page, and thus relieve him of their heavy burden. However, Magi are beings of great power, and for the Way Teller the very act of iteration causes a convergence of events that lead him to embark upon his Great Work. Thus, he becomes witness to events in another time and realm, events, that for reasons he has yet to fathom, bear a mirrored relevance to his own ancient past, and indeed to the past of the very human race itself.  The Evermore Journals are that Great Work.
