Synopsis
When the kid was born, they say the demons came for him. That there was an entire city destroyed. Powers not seen since old-and-gone ages clashed.
Some, though, whisper that the demons tried to save him. Tried to save him from a fallacy of fate. Tried to save him from the gods themselves.
Tried and failed.
The dust settled and it became clear everything revolved around him, that the higher powers had been piqued. In a land ruled by gods, one born among the ruins of their preciously crafted cities clawed into their clutches. This wasn’t ordained. Uncertainty was introduced, then overlooked by the governing forces behind the world. They looked down in morbid curiosity. The gods themselves grew complacent in their seemingly omnipotent power in past ages. They now grow careless and bored. Just enough to leave the boy alive to see what would happen next.
