In the town of Gray Hollows, people have no fun. Picture zombies, but aim lower. In that area, you will find Gray Hollows’ citizens.  When you are born, your eyes are stripped from seeing color. All colors. And you are limited from seeing one trait of the human face. It’s a way of focusing on everyone’s best traits. But there is one person, every generation that has sight that can see these things. A Seeker. Seekers are forbidden from Gray Hollows, and on every first day of the new year, comes the event known as the Seeker Slaughter. Adults and children alike gather in town hall at 11:55 PM, and when it hits midnight, the game begins. Parents will kill their Seeker children with no hesitation, if it means they can fit in.  Well, Reese has one problem. The universe picked him. With the help of an unlikely ally, he must survive New Years, and not get his head turned into a trophy.
