Tiernan is part human, part halfing trying to find his way in the world with no father. This is a coming of age story as Tiernan learns what he loves in life and meets mentors and friends who help shape him on the way. All the while, the woods near his city contain an ominous threat that is forever gaining in power and resolve. Can Tiernan and his friends grow up to make a difference in their world and protect the people of their city?
