All over the world of Wreath, enormous towers filled with mythical treasures and fearsome monsters shot out of the ground. It is said that those who reach the top of these spires gain incredible power capable of turning the tides of war. Now, the nations of Wreath are locked in an arms race, trying to procure as many of these supersoldiers as they can for their armies. However, the gates of the towers reject anyone over the age of sixteen. Thus, the Seizures began. Each major city in the country of Glasvain is required to hand over thirty children to be sent into the tower, usually decided by chance. The unlucky Seized are forced into the tower, given the choice of reaching the top, or facing certain death.  Our hero, Kaila Linwood, is one such individual sent into the tower. Will she emerge with immense power? Or will she become one of the many Seized never heard from again? *This is my first fic, so please keep in mind I'm still learning.
