The ancient civilization of Nede is truly a fascinating one.  Ages ago, before time was told in Nedean terms, a young goddess by the name of Oasiah created this luxurious paradise.  What is that I hear you saying?  This isn't a luscious paradise but indeed a desolate desert wasteland?  Why, that's because the beautiful and kind goddess was picked apart by her many enemies, more specifically the tyrant, Vularien.  This evil god stole the vision, voice, memories, and emotions of the dear, sweet child and cursed this once bountiful land.  Legend tells that a few pure souls every few decades are called to retrieve her pieces and receive one wish from her grace.  What a fascinating take indeed, I wonder who might finally save this poor goddess and her people? Shall we dictate it ourselves, traveler?
