The lightning and the thunder rumbled. Every sign showed a big storm approaching. In a little village along the seashore, a boy was collecting wood.

Ferris Sunfish was average looking with basic garments. With a simple look, we can tell how well the Sunfish family was doing. While Ferris Sunfish was collecting the wood in the nearby forest, he heard a mysterious voice calling him.

The evil thoughts will melt down by simply looking at the altar. Ferris Sunfish lost consciousness in the middle of the altar. The structure transformed into a big light and entered Ferris Sunfish. Everything returned to normal. There was no sign of anything unusual.

Esterton was peaceful as always without the knowledge of what happened in the deep forest. The size of the village was abnormally huge. However, Esterton was really small if we took into account the whole world of Esronia.

Sunfish family had a total of thousand members scattered across the globe. It was not even comparable to their one of a thousandth past glory. Fate played with them. The bloodline of the Sunfish family regressed.

Ferris Sunfish lost his parents when he was six years old. He grew up with his uncle and aunty. They didn’t have any children. So, they treated him as their own son. Marshall Sunfish and his wife started worrying because Ferris is still not home. Marshall Sunfish went to inform the family head Cyril Sunfish. A troop went from the Sunfish family in the search of Ferris Sunfish. The troop found him in the outskirts of the forest.

Ferris Sunfish woke up the next afternoon. He couldn’t remember what happened after he saw the altar. For now, he didn’t find anything abnormal. Everyone soon stopped discussing the event.

Every child in Esterton must learn from the compulsory education. Once they are 16 years old, they have to join a ceremony to unlock their inner spirit. Ferris Sunfish is almost 16 years old. The next day, he must join the ceremony to unlock his inner spirit. He couldn’t sleep very well because of the stress. So, he arrived late to the ceremony. There were 20 teenagers, including Ferris Sunfish who were passing the ceremony. This was really a big number for a small village like Esterton.

An old man with the white hair and a barb entered the hall. He was more than 50 years old. The old man was in charge of the library. He explained some basic details to know before starting the ceremony and asked everyone to follow him to a special chamber. There was a ball floating in the middle of the chamber.

The old man said, “This is called a spirit orb. When I call your name, please put your hands on the orb. Chris Anchovy!”

A shy teenager with black hair and black eyes came before the orb and placed his hands. The orb started glowing. Chris Anchovy was enveloped in a mystic light. After some time, the energy materialized and floated up in the air. The energy was green. It had a shape of the plant.

The librarian noted something in his notebook. Then, he explained, “Your inner spirit’s quality is intermediate and it has a healing property. Next, Robert Sawfish!”

Suddenly, people started murmuring. A teenager exclaimed, “It’s someone from the Sawfish family”. Ferris Sunfish asked the person next to him, “Brother, what’s happening?”. The youth started with a question, “You don’t know the famous Sawfish family? It is one of the prominent families of Esterton. All their family members always have an aggressive personality. In recent decades, their bloodline has become pure for some unknown reasons”.

A handsome youth with sharp eyes and teeth approached the spirit orb. The orb started changing color. This time, the color was blue. And, the fire symbol materialized. The old man didn’t show any expression on his face and noted it down. But, it created a big fuss between the students.

One by one, everyone passed the ceremony. But, none had an advanced inner spirit like Robert Sawfish. The result alternated between the basic and the intermediate. Finally, it was Ferris Sunfish’s turn.

Ferris Sunfish was really nervous about his result. One more time, the orb activated. The inner spirit was white with a bow and arrow. The old man showed disappointment and murmured to himself, “Bow and Arrow, one of the best weapon type inner spirit possible. Unfortunately, the quality is too low. If only, he had an intermediate quality. He could have become something”.

Ferris Sunfish returned to his place with a broken heart. The old man continued to share some knowledge of the inner spirit and the procedure. But, Ferris couldn’t hear anything because he didn't know how to face his parents. Suddenly, Ferris heard a mechanical voice and saw an interface. But, no one was reacting to what was happening.
