Boy meets girl. The girl is a superhero with an existential crisis. Alice is the first and the only superhero that ever appeared. In the absence of any better ideas, she's living her life normally, as best as she can. She does not wear a disguise, so sure, she's a celebrity, but that's about the worst of her problems. Her (stereotypical) powers give her a unique perspective on life and humanity, one that she cannot seem to articulate or shake. The emptiness inside her is not shared by her peers, leading to resentment and condescension.
