Synopsis
I'm Taylor Leztfh, and I'm living in a nightmare. It all started on what's now known as the Enigma Weather Day, when a freak storm swept through our town and left behind something...strange.
At first, people thought it was just a fluke, a weird weather phenomenon that would pass. But then we started to notice changes in ourselves. Some people could control fire, while others had super strength. It was like we had all been given these mysterious powers, but nobody knew why.
The government tried to keep it under wraps, but eventually, the world found out. And that's when things really started to go downhill.
People started to form factions, based on their powers. The fire-wielders would band together, while the super-strong would team up with others like them. It was like high school all over again, but on steroids.
I didn't have a power, at least not one that I knew of. I was just...normal. And in this new world, that made me an outcast. People looked at me like I was less than human, like I was weak.
But I soon learned that being normal was a blessing in disguise. Because while everyone else was caught up in their power struggles, I was able to see the bigger picture. And what I saw was terrifying.
The powers that we had been given weren't just random gifts from the universe. They were part of something much darker, something that was slowly taking over our world.
I saw people using their powers to hurt others, to control them. I saw governments using these powers to gain even more power, to oppress their people. It was like we had opened Pandora's Box, and there was no going back.
And then there were the creatures. They started to appear shortly after the Enigma Weather Day, lurking in the shadows and preying on the weak. They were like nothing I had ever seen before, with glowing eyes and razor-sharp teeth.
At first, people tried to fight them off with their powers. But the creatures were too strong, too fast. And that's when we realized that our powers were useless against them.
I saw my neighbors get dragged off into the night, screaming and begging for help. I saw families torn apart by these monsters, their powers useless against the horror that had taken over our world.
And through it all, I remained normal. But that didn't mean I was safe. In fact, it made me even more of a target.
People saw me as weak, as a liability. They didn't want me around, because I couldn't help them in their power struggles. But I didn't care about that. All I cared about was survival.
So, I started to learn. I learned how to fight, how to defend myself against the creatures that roamed our streets. I learned how to scavenge for food and water, how to make myself invisible in a world that had become a warzone.
And as I learned, I realized something else. Maybe being normal wasn't such a bad thing after all. Maybe it was the key to surviving in this new world.
Because while everyone else was caught up in their power struggles, I was able to see the truth. And the truth was that our powers had led us down a dark path, a path that would ultimately lead to our destruction.
So, I embraced my normalcy. I used it to my advantage, to stay alive in a world that had gone mad. And maybe, just maybe, that was enough.
