A desert-born mercenary woman named Ma'at is pushed into a team of detectives known as Vroque Investigations stationed in the multi-cultural steampunk and Italian-inspired city of Reville. Making up the team is an umbrella-wielding Maiden of the Rain, also known as Sato, and the logical suitcase-wielding mage Tien.
