Synopsis
According to the Maecktian calendar the year is 1660, our world however is much older than that. To tell a complete history by oneself is impossible, therefore I have set out to collect various accounts from people from every part of this plane throughout the ages so that through them we might perhaps glimpse some knowledge of this world. I have assembled these accounts into chapters and intend to create a great encyclopaedia with them.
Encyclopaedia: A Collection of Accounts, is an attempt to tell the story of my world through the accounts of people that lived or still live inside it. In each chapter a character or several characters tell you about a certain aspect of the world. The style of these character accounts will differ, some will be written as if they were taken from books within the world itself while others will be like a character is telling you in person about something they experienced or have knowledge of. The Encyclopaedia is very much centred around worldbuilding however through the character account based approach I hope that it does not read like a Wikipedia article like some worldbuilding tends to do.
The world the Encyclopaedia is set in is a low magic dark fantasy world. I also try to make the world as realistic and believable as possible so accounts about war may contain mature content. It is not all doom and gloom however as I also try to pay attention to the lighter aspects of the world.
I will try to release a new chapter at least every week, but my creative output really depends on my inspiration which is not always that high. Luckily I have a backlog which ensures that I at least have enough work to publish in the beginning. Other than accounts, I might also publish short stories set in the world once in a while, these chapters will have short story in their title, but as this is not my strong suit these will be more rare.
