Several hundred years ago the Comet named Azreal was a sliver distance from colliding with the Earth, causing untold gravitational wreckage, and leaving behind a filament of ethereal energy that drifted upon the planet. Azreal disappeared as it's shadow fell over the planet, a spectre gone to the dark before it could utterly destroy all life. Within a few years a small percentage of humanity started being born with strange powers straight out of a comic book. Metas had arrived. At first humanity screamed 'Demons' and a Witch Hunt historians referred to as the Purge commenced and many infants found the flame as their hello into the world. The Purge lasted almost twenty years until reason prevailed and there were too many Metas birthed to be contained. A few decades later the Long War began.
For over a hundred years, heroes and villains fought over the world, the Long War. Could he be the one to inspire her to rise up and attempt to finally take the fight to those that took everything she loved?

“I am sorry, so sorry Emma, we have run out of time. You need to choose now, your estimated chance at survival is dropping precipitously to almost an unattainable outcome. Please. Make a choice. You must go back.”
What the hell was going on? This is not how she envisioned her First Evolution and inclusion into the Vigilant. She had shifted from worried to scared, fear bubbling in churning rivers echoing to bones but then her Will kicked in and flipped all of it to anger, a fury burning her ocean, violet energy lighting her flesh.
“Enough of this Sara!!! Your are gonna tell me…”
Sara’s voice thundered through the gray space and Emma stumbled from the Statue her fingers rested upon, crashing into the final Statue, falling to knees in its shadow.
“Time is out. Your choice is made. Please forgive me.”
She felt a burst of energy lance into her from the Statue at her back, body, spirit, whatever the heck she was, starting to fade. No! No! She hadn’t even seen the last one’s description much less the one she’d fallen into. Her mind spiraled into the black.
