To avoid becoming just another mage to be forgotten when he failed.  So when he finally turned eighteen, and it was his turn for the Ceremony of the Weave, he only wanted that one thing. Well, you know what they say about wishes. Instead of fun adventures fighting monsters and collecting loot with trusted allies, he's been thrust into a war for the very survival of Nifell. With a Goddess's support, he will have to battle the force of Devastation and stop something way above his pay grade. Worst of all, he has to do it while being blue!
