The artifacts AI utilizes its limited stash of organic nanites to give them each new capabilities and allow them to become ideal leaders for the mission of preparing an exodus of the people of Earth. As the story progresses into the second arc, Liam harnesses his entrepreneurial spirit to pivot his business towards developing technologies crucial for building the Ark—a massive ship that would carry selected humans away from the doomed Earth. Inspired by Elon Musk and the proactive approach seen in John Ringo’s Troy Rising series, Liam’s venture expands into asteroid mining and advanced engineering projects, closely collaborating with the AI and it’s “children” to revolutionize humanity’s technological capabilities. Meanwhile the core group each begin recruiting people into their division crews for the Ark. They lead these new technology startups together with their respective AI’s to advance the necessary technologies for the creation of the ark and also utilize these startups as grounds for recruitment of the best of the best to build and crew the ark. They  develop a triage and evacuation plan to determine who they can save, what cultural tokens and references to natural wonders they can preserve, and how they will perform the evacuation when the time comes. In the final arc, with the Ravager invasion imminent, the narrative shifts to the construction of the Ark itself, the selection of it’s new citizen-passengers, and evacuation of people, resources, and even places to the ark. Book one ends culminating in a tense, hopeful launch as humanity braces for the unknown.
