“This is a story about starting over.” After losing his mother in a hospital fire, former boxer Wesley Kong “Wes” hits rock bottom. Jobless, behind on rent and adrift in an uncaring world, he stumbles headlong into the supernatural underbelly of Crest City. Armed with his own burgeoning powers as well as a slew of new and old companions, Wes begins to unravel the threads of a conspiracy that threatens to shake the very foundations of the city itself.  The setting is based quite heavily on a TTRPG system called City of Mists. However, this is NOT a LitRPG, and the focus will mainly be on the narrative (this is my own original work and is not sponsored by them in any way, but I am giving credit where credit is due). Feel free to compare and contrast, though, and if you have any interest in tabletop RPGs, please check them out!  Chapters will probably range from 3 - 3.5k words, published every Sunday.  Expect: Mature themes, along with most of the trappings of the neo-noir genre.
