A forest is a living thing.  Lili had lived her entire life in the small, nameless village inside the forest of Duskwood. For decades, the forest had sheltered them, and Lili had always felt at home beneath its trees--until now.  The forest was changing. Shadows danced in the day, caught only at the corners of one's eyes. The thick, cloying, and ever-present stench of decay seemed to have seeped into every surface, every pore. The green only grew and grew, wild and untamed, even in the last days of fall.  The bodies that it never gave back.  On the first day, Poe. On the second day, Rosa.  On the third day, Lewen.  On and on, until the village was empty, until… …Finally, the fateful day: her aunt.  Now Lili must venture alone into the woods to find her last surviving kin, the great witch Answen, armed only with her hunter's tools and her wits.  Will she succeed? Or will she become the latest victim to the Duskwood's growing hunger?  Venture into the Duskwood…and find out.  Note: This work will be on hiatus until I am finished writing my current (unpublished) series, The Stormcrow Cycle.
