In a world consumed by the war against cruel beasts, Discrimination between classes is omnipresent. The capital city of Virinium is surrounded by three enormous walls reinforced with magical powers, which mostly serve to protect both the rich and the noble. Around this metropolis, a lot of small cities and towns are left with almost no defense.Most people who live in these rundown areas are poor citizens and adventurers that can't afford costs to enter the walls, and who have either become forced to serve as bait or food for humanity threatening monsters. These monsters and beasts can only survive and reproduce in the darkness of underground dungeons, where sunlight can't reach them. They only come to the surface one night every three months.
