Jacob died; and the only way for him to live is become a Dungeon Master. As the gods of this new world and adventurers attack and brave its depths, he must create resilient monsters and ecosystems to keep the dungeon running and attract new adventurers. However, the new power he has is not what it seemed, and there are obvious flaws to it that tell a different story.
