Kai trained his magic control for the rest of the day and he had logged off when he connected all the points he could but he had yet to make it run all over his body.

Paul woke up and quickly run towards the bathroom to take care of his business and to take a shower before he walked down to have lunch with his family and do some small chores inside the house as to not say he wouldn’t help.
Paul walked down and helped his mother finish some of the cooking she was doing and while he was at it he had a small talk with her about what was happening around the house and what they were going to do for the next few days.
It was quick and nothing really different from normal came up so all they could do after it was to wash the dishes and tableware that were used while they cooking.
The two ate in silence as they thought what they would be doing for the rest of the day and Paul was thinking that he could improve his character by having him have another skill he could use in combat.
‘Maybe something to have with claw and fangs… maybe the tail to make a surprise attack with a limb they wouldn’t expect.’ Paul thought as he slowly ate his food.
“Paul, can you go to the supermarket and buy a few things for me?” His mother said after he finished eating.
“Send my sister… she never goes.” He says before smiling. “Okay, so, what do you want?” Paul asked grabbing his phone and opening the notepad.
“I want you to buy…” His mother started saying one thing after the other and he quickly noted it down. “… you can use the car.” She said and Paul quickly darted to drive the car to the supermarket, after getting the money to buy the things she asked for.

‘Finally back.’ Kai thought as he stood up. It had taken him more than he had thought to go back to his house and sort all the things he had bought and just then was he allowed to be free to play the game. ‘Damn… it is dawn already.’ He thought as he yawned. He wouldn’t be able to sleep for quite some time now that morning came and he had things he had to do.
He opened the menu and looked at the skills he could buy with the DP he had and sighed in relief as he saw that the DP needed to buy skills didn’t go up after he had bought the first one.
Void Claw (Active)
A claw attack that increases the sharpness of the claws making it possible to send wind blades if swung with enough force.
Olympus Fang (Active)
An attack that uses the user’s powerful jaw to crush the enemy with enough pressure to crush a boulder.
Meteor Tail (Active)
A spinning tail attack that makes the soft fur and muscle to turn dangerously hard. It can be used to bend or break iron with the force generated.
Kai looked at the menu as he selected three of the skills that took his attention as his read their description.
He pondered which skill would be the best one to choose but the one he felt he would need the most, and would have a greater chance to used was the claw attack and he was just in time as the girl walked down the carriage, with a Black Wolf puppy following right behind her.
“Girl, did you take that puppy with you?” He asked looking at the girl.
“No, this one came to me and stayed there all night.” She said petting the head of the Black Wolf. “And I named her Whisper.” She said with a smile on her face.
“Whisper…” Kai said and the wolf nodded at him. “Is there any other puppy inside?” He asked looking at the girl.
“Yes! A gray one entered together with Whisper and he clung to my brother and he named him Titan.” She said opening the curtain that covered the carriage and Kai saw a Grey Wolf puppy lying besides the boy.
“So two of them decided to follow humans… great.” He said as he walked to the entrance. “You can go in the back of one of the Black Wolves that I will bring you to the village.” He said as he called the wolves that were going to go with him, but some he decided to let hunt inside the dungeon as to replenish the food that was consumed the day before.
Kai was going to bring only seven wolves with him, he left the two Dire Wolves inside while he brought two of each species of wolves he had, and the puppy that did not want to leave the girl alone so he came with them.
He waited for a few minutes as the girl sat at the Black Wolf’s back.
“We're departing.” Kai announced as he started to walk before he sped up towards the village.

Roran was at the center of the village with all the hunters prepared to go looking for his missing kids, and to give the wolf, that brought the suffering and fear to the village, death.
They were there deciding if it would be better to go right away to the wolf’s den or start slowly as they circled the entrance to lay traps so they could kill any creature that came from the entrance with their arrows, swords, knives and axes after it fell on the prepared traps.
“Men to your weapons! Some wolves are coming from the forest!” A man came running at full speed through the street.
“Men! The beast came to us! Let's kill it!” Roran roared and the men followed him shouting at his words.
The men walked at the road and stopped as they saw the front creature, it was the mass of black and white fur.
They readied their bows but the wolf stopped and it placed its paw before his body as it threw its head up.
AWOOOOOO!!!
The wolf howled making the air and the ground shake under them.
They felt the power behind the beast and its size.
Roran, who had seen the beast closer twice, finally remembered his daughter’s words: “Mister Wolf is still growing…” she had said.
‘No way… it grew even though it was already that big…’ Roran thought as he watched seven other wolves stop besides the bigger one.
“I AM KAI! I CAME TO BRING NEWS ABOUT A SMALL GIRL AND BOY I TOOK UNDER MY CARE A FEW DAYS AGO!” The wolf shouted with a loud and powerful voice enough to make all the hunters stop at the sight of the beast.
“We have nothing to talk with a beast like you!” The biggest hunter said as he took a step forward.
“Oh? So you're saying that you don't care about their well beings?” The Wolf shouted back as he took a step forward.
“Men! Ready your bows!” The biggest hunter, Julius, said and all hunters, prepared their bows. “Aim! Shoot!” He said and all the arrows were released all aimed towards the black and white wolf.
“Weaklings.” The wolf said and he stood up on his hind legs at the same time his frontal claws shined before he slammed it down with enough force to break the ground.
“What!?” The hunters all shouted as they saw the the arrows break in the air.
“Did he use magic?” “What happened?” “What broke the arrows?” The hunters said but Roran had seen it.
He saw the wolf slam its paws on the ground and at the same time ten blades were shot from there and in the air, they cut all the arrows that were shot in half.
“No way…” He murmured as his hands shook.
“This is everything you all have?” The wolf smiled as he started to walk once more towards the village with steady steps. “I brought the girl to talk, but it looks like no one wants to see you, girl.” The wolf turned back to look at one wolf behind it.
“LAURA!” Roran shouted as he saw the girl at the wolf’s back.
The village froze after seeing the little girl waving her hand towards all the adults that were gathered there.

Kai walked with slow steps inside the village and he looked at the humans, who would quickly divert their eyes as to not meet his.

‘It feels weird to be noticed like this and to be treated as a thing to fear… but this is how “Kai” is, a great wolf that is in this world to make people fear him.’ He thought as he walked with the girl mounted on the wolf that was following him and at her side a smaller one would run and growl at anyone that walked closer to the group, which walked in two neatly rolls after Kai with the Dark Wolves right behind, followed by the Grey Wolves and Wolves at the the end of the line.
Kai walked to the center of the village, where he found a small square and in the middle of it he could see an old man staring at him.
“Oh Great King of the Forest…” The old man started saying.
“Stop talking, Old Man.” Kai said interrupting the old man. “I just came to get this girl to explain why I am here today.” He said as he sat before the crowd that had formed around him and his small pack.
“Mister Wolf, I’ll go take some clothes for Nathan.” The girl said as she rushed to her house, while being followed by her parents, and some more people but many still waited on the square looking at Kai. The hunters all had their hands on their weapons but they didn’t take them out of the sheath but they were ready to answer if Kai was a threat to the village.
“Oh Great Lord of the Forest…” The old man started saying once more.
“Old Man… if you do not stop the next time you open your mouth I’ll send you to your grave.” Kai said glaring at the man, who had his mouth open as he was interrupted once more.
“Oh Great-” “YOU!” Kai shouted standing up. “Don’t you dare to continue or this place will go to the ground together with you!” He said glaring at all people that were surrounding him and the six wolves, because the smaller one had slipped away with the girl.
The hunters prepared to take their weapons but were interrupted as the elder once more started talking, making them look at him as if he was a brave warrior, or a lunatic that knew no fear.
“Oh Great-” “You have no fear of death!?” Kai interrupted the old man once more.
“Oh Great Wolf of the Forest.” The old man said without being intimidated by Kai's appearance or tone and he understood that the old man would continue to talk no matter what so he let the man continue, but he glared at him.
“I want you to accept my youngest and unmarried daughter as sacrifice in exchange of your great benevolence to let this village to continue to live.” The old man said as he bowed.
Kai stood there staring at the old man for quite some time.
“Father!” A young woman, which was a bit younger than himself in the real world walked out of the crowd. “Are you sacrificing myself so the village can continue on living?!” She asked the old man while tears started to appear at her eyes.
“It is a need, my dear daughter.” The old man said with a sad smile on his face before he looked at Kai once more. “I am willing to let you have this daughter of mine in order for this village to continue living.” The old man said staring at him.
“Old Man…” Kai started after he woken up by the girl’ action. “I do not need her or any sacrifice, I came only to get the girl come and get some things that we needed.” He said paying attention to the people around him. He was a bit afraid to accept the woman and it turn that if he appeared at the village they would give another one as sacrifice or they would start sending some to him.
“But the Great Wolf of the Forest needs an offering that equals his power and might, that is why, I, as the elder of this village, am offering my most beautiful daughter to you.” The old man said looking at Kai and with his eyes he said he wouldn't stop no matter what.
“Do you agree with it?” Kai asked the old man. “You will never be able to see her again.” He seriously said as he looked at the young woman.
She had long red hair, beautiful green eyes and a well proportioned body.
“I'm sure… though it will kill me to know I'll never be able to see her again, this is for the best, this is for the village.” The old man said seriously.
“I understand, woman, you are to go to your house and take all the things you want to take with you.” Kai ordered her as he placed his paw on the ground before him. “From this day forward, you have no more ties with this place and will be under my care.” He added and the tears finally started to fall from her eyes.
“Oh Great Wolf, from this day forward, every year we will send a new-” The old man started saying as he turned to face all the villagers the surrounded them.
“NO MORE!” Kai shouted as he crushed the stones under his paws. Even the hunters, who were prepared to take their weapons were surprise by the shout took a step back. “THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I’LL BE ACCEPTING, ANY MORE AND YOU’RE ALL DEAD! AM I CLEAR?!” He said so loudly that all humans had to cover their ears as he looked at them.
It didn't take long for the younger woman to run inside a nearby house.
“Now that she will be gone, I'll be able to eat all the cookies I want! No more healthy food!” The old man said in a low voice but Kai heard it.
‘That was the reason you decided to let your daughter go!?’ Kai said at his mind while he did his best to maintain a straight face as he waited the two humans to come back.
Kai waited there and many villages walked inside their houses hiding their kids and other started to bring some offerings to him, but they didn't came closer than a few meters before him as they left small things on the ground.
‘How the hell do you want me to accept this all?! I already got a female villager to go back with me, and now you're all offering some coins or some sort random items?!’ Kai though as he watch as the villager placed some wood tableware, accessories made from fangs and some even placed some iron weapons on the middle of it.
Kai sat there looking at each person and decided to not mind it, if they are doing the things they want are he is not the one who will stop them. His character didn't allow him to stop them because he had heard them talking with each other in a low voice about what they should do and they all accepted to offer something to the beast, even the hunters had gave him something after they discussed between themselves.
‘Why are they taking so long?’ Kai asked himself as he waited the girl, whose name was Laura, and the younger woman that was forced on him by her own father.
But his wait soon came to an end as both the woman and girl walked to him.
The girl had two bags under her arms and at her back her parents were bringing some more on their arms while the younger woman had a big bag tied to her back and two small ones on her hands. She was crying while being assisted by some other older women, who patted her back and said some nice words to her.
“I see you're all ready to go.” Kai said as he stood up making the two to come closer to him. “Place your things with those.” He said as he pointed his muzzle to the pile of items.
The girl quickly moved and placed the bags she was carrying there and her parents followed her action while it took a bit of effort for the young woman to get closer to him, she did place her bags there as well.
The villagers had all gathered once more and Kai knew he was being watched by them.
He stretched his shadow and all the people released a small surprised shout as all the items sunk in his shadow and disappeared.
“We're departing now. And for you.” Kai said looking right at the girl's father. “I'll make sure to send you to a place no sunlight can hit.” He said before he ordered the girl and the young woman to hop on the back of a black wolf.

Roran felt his back grow could. He had seen the beast walk and its power, and he couldn't believe as he heard her daughter talk about the things she had seen while the wolf helped Nathan.
“What will we do now?” He asked himself as he watched Laura and the elder’s daughter walking away from the village on the back of two black wolves.
“COOOKIIIIIEEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!” Suddenly Roran heard that and when he looked at the his side he saw Elder Fin with his hands thrown at the sky. “No more healthy food for the rest of my life! Cookies just cookies! There is no need to eat them while I’m hiding from Nora!” He said happily and Roran had a wry smile on his face, like everyone that was around the old man.
“Elder Fin… the reason you allowed your daughter to be taken away was…” Trevor, a hunter asked.
“That girl… she wouldn’t let this old man live happily… she made sure to hide my cookies and rum… I couldn’t be happy even for a minute! I had to sneakily drink and eat them.” The Elder said as he slowly made his way towards his house while he hummed a song.
“That guy… can you believe in him?” Someone said and Roran couldn’t help but feel a bit weirded out for his actions.
“He sold his daughter…” Someone completed and the village started discussing about the elder’s way of thinking and the main reason why he had done it.
“Honey… I think we should go home now.” Roran’s wife said as she put her hand on his shoulder.
“Yes… I need to sit down and think about everything that happened today.” He answered as he walked to his house, a bit down because he wouldn’t be able to see his kids for some time yet happy to know they weren’t in harm’s way.

Kai arrived at his dungeon with the two humans behind him, one was crying like it was the end of the world and the other was happily playing with a small Black Wolf.
“Stop crying!” Kai ordered but the young woman just started crying even louder than before. “OR YOU STOP CRYING OR I’LL MAKE SURE YOU WILL NEVER CRY AGAIN!” He shouted annoyed by the young woman’s unstoppable tears.
“Mister Wolf don’t be a meany!” The girl said as she stood before the young woman. “Nora is just scared that her daddy said she was a sacrifice, even if I don’t know what it means!” She said as she opened her arms as to shield the taller woman with her tiny body.
Kai found it funny but he didn’t laugh. “A sacrifice means that she will never be able to go back to the village.” He said as he sat before the group.
“Then… Nora will have to stay here with Mister Wolf?” The girl asked and Kai nodded his head. “Nora is so lucky… to be able to live with Mister Wolf and his wolves…” She said looking down.
“Girl, go show her the things inside, all your things are near the carriage.” Kai said as he passed through it going deeper inside the dungeon.
The dungeon was small, only four rooms and this needed to be changed. More space was needed because another person had come and even if he hunted with his minions the consumption was growing as the rank of the species grew because the size was bigger than before, and it might continue to grow even more as he advanced.
“If this continues… I fear that this place will not be able to hold the full size of any of us.” He said as he started to make another room at the end of the right side.
Kai dug a corridor that was 2 meters wide and 3 long before a room with 150 square meters was opened using 156 DP and resulting in having only 74 DP left to use if he wanted to.
‘No matter how many DP I have… I’m always short on them.’ He thought as he looked at the now bare earth place, but it was not for too long, as a strange pulse was released from his head and the earth under his paws shined and some small herbs and plants started to appear all over the place.
“What is happening here?” Kai thought for a second before he looked up. “No way… did I just level up, again?” He asked looking at the number over the menu.

“No way… why my DP gain shoot to 300 once I level up?” Kai asked himself as he stared at his status screen.
“It is because the cost to maintain the dungeon, and the upgrades grows with time, it wouldn’t be good if you received always the same amount per level up.” Isis said as she appeared from Kai’s bracelet. “So we made it that every ten level the DP received from level up will go up by 100.” She said with a nod.
“I see… well, it just mean that I can make greater things with it.” Kai said ignoring that Isis was wearing a formal dress, with her drill-like hair.
Isis just stood there seeing Kai messing with his menu and decided that she had nothing to do there and disappeared in a ray of light.
[KAI! HELP!] As soon as Isis disappeared a message popped in front of him and the sender was no other than Terra.
