Kai stood before the noble woman and looked at her eyes. “What is your choice? Are you going to accept my offer?” He said staring at her eyes.
“…” The woman said looking at him before she looked down at the ground. “I-I want more time to decide.” She said looking at the ground without walking from the place she was.
Kai looked at her before he walked away while smiling. He had seen what the woman was doing and he couldn’t help but smile.
‘You think you can make a hole in one of my dungeon’s walls?’ He asked in his mind. ‘Only in your dreams.’ He added just in time to hear the woman shouting and cursing him.
Kai started to laugh as he decided to set a few places for gathering herbs, berries, fruits and mushrooms by using 80 DP in total by placing one of each type in a random place in one of each room. He too wanted to make metals’ gathering places but those were all grayed out because he had yet to find a piece of ore or to make them appear inside the dungeon.
‘Nothing I can do about not having ores…’ Kai thought as he closed the window that was before him. ‘My minions can’t even do things with them, it would be useless if I have them laying around.’ He said in his mind as he lied down before the dungeon’s entrance to look outside as he waited for the afternoon, where he would go out with the males to hunt while the females waited inside with their big rounds bellies.
He sat there, just watching the outside as he thought what he would do with the points he had… he could do a few things with it and from there he could buy a new race but the number of Black Wolves were only two and he wanted to have a bit more before he evolved them, and he would soon be able to do it.
“I don’t know how many I have right now…” Kai said as he shouted ‘Status’ in his mind.

“The number is good.” He said as he saw that from the 22 he had now 38, with 16 inside the bellies of the female wolves. “Summon!” He shouted as he paid 20 points to summon 2 Wild Dogs, which appeared from two magic circles that appeared before him.
They appeared while looking at him before they bowed to Kai.
“You two are to look for the woman on the jail. She is to be ‘protected’.” He said and the two Wild Dogs quickly ran inside.
Kai just smiled as he thought that soon his number would grow and it would mean that even more food would be getting even more food as the puppies grew.
“Soon…” He murmured as he looked at the sun.
“Mister Wolf…” The girl’s voice came from the carriage and as he looked over his shoulder he got to see that she was walking down. “Can… I get some meat for our lunch…? I want to cook some so my brother would get some more energy…” She said as she turned to one side to the other.
“You can get some… if you can catch and skin a rabbit or lizard that are all over this place.” Kai answered as he gestured to a small hole on the dungeon’s walls. “They were our main source of meat since long ago, but now, with my numbers and strength, hunting rabbits is just too tedious, you can hunt as much as you want.” He said standing up.
“B-But I don’t have a knife…” The girl started just to see Kai’s shadow grow and from it a small set of daggers appeared. “Mister Wolf?! Where did you get these?” She asked with sparkling eyes.
“From some adventurers that tried to kill me… they came to hunt me down, but they were the ones that fell on battle.” Kai said looking at the girl’s eyes. “Use these knives, but you are to return them to me once you’re going back to the village.” He said seriously as he walked away calling for the wolves all over the dungeon, it was almost afternoon, it was the time for the second hunt of the day.

Terra was walking in the forest with her minion squad behind her, each holding a weapon with their tiny hands and another on their back or side depending on which type of weapon they used.
‘With these… they’re better nurtured, they ate food since the beginning, which meant that they will have stronger body than the ones I had before, which weren’t strong enough because they didn’t eat since the beginning.’ She thought as she looked the wooden dolls moving with smooth movements.
Sneaking Terra hides behind trees and bushes as she commanded her minions to attack and kill many small lizards and rabbits. She was preparing to make them evolve more and more now.
The hunt was being a success with all their surprise attacks but one they had hunted their 23rd small animal, a big shadow appeared.
It covered Terra herself and many growling sounds could be heard all around her.
She stopped moving as she slowly turned her head towards the big thing that was behind her while she wrapped her hands around the spear she was carrying.
“What happened with your dolls?” A black and white wolf asked and Terra suddenly felt a bit happy to see such creature. “They look so weak that with one of my paws I can crush them.” He said as he walked closer to her.
“Wolf! I’m glad it is you.” She said as she sighed in relief. “I thought it was the Dungeon Dueler.” She said as she held her spear a bit more loosely.
“Dungeon Dueler?” The wolf asked before he looked around. “Stop growling at the dolls and go look around the area, we can’t have anyone spying on us.” He said ordering the wolves around him, which quickly disappeared as they walked away.
“Yes, a player that is doing PvP. He said he is looking for all the dungeons of this area and is challenging them to a PvP match where he is the invader.” Terra explained to the big wolf before her. “I lost to him… and after he said he would come again soon…” She finished saying just to see the wolf before her yawn at her words.
“Thanks for the intel.” He said with a nod. “I’ll not lose to this ‘Dungeon Dueler’ or what so ever… and I can just not accept the match.” He smiled at Terra couldn’t help but weakly look at him.
“He will not stop until he gets the match…” She said shaking her head. “If he doesn’t get the PvP he wants he will start harassing the player, killing the minions, steal the kill or even try to corner the player when it is outside the dungeon…” She added as she stared at the tall wolf before her.
“So a stupid player… he is trying to gain points by using the PvP rule while making sure to not get a PK… that will be dangerous. Doll, I thank you for the intel.” The wolf said as it started to walk away.
“WAIT!” Terra shouted as she stretched her hands towards the player before her.
“What do you want? I don’t have any business with you.” The wolf said annoyed.
“I-I want to form a party with you…” She said as she played with the ground before her feet. “You see… we will have a lot more versatility if we do it and there will be no penalty if we hunted together…” She added as she continued to move her foot around the ground.
“I do not want to be tied to a party at the moment.” The wolf said to her. “And I don’t want to have our dungeons merged as one.” He said and the she finally understood the main fact.

“Well, there will not be a problem then.” Suddenly a voice came from the wolf’s bracelet and from there a doll with purple hair appeared before the two. “Hello!”
“Isis…” The wolf said as he lifted one of his paws before placing it right over the doll. “You appear whenever you want and disappear without telling what the others want to know.” He said as he started to press the doll to the ground.
“Stop that, Kai!” The AI’s doll said as the paw pressed her down. “And to tell you… when a party is formed, the dungeon don’t mix… well, they will turn into one, but what I came to tell is that the dungeons will function as one, there will be a common room and entrance, but from that point forward, each dungeon will be one.” She said as she fought against the leg that was pressing her to the ground.
“So… once the party is done, the dungeon will create a new entrance and room before another corridor is formed leading to each dungeon?” The wolf, Kai, asked.
“That is it.” Isis said with a bright smile. “And Kai, it will not have side effect having another dungeon with you, it will just make easier to get DP from hunting monsters, since you will be able to hunt more with two of you.” She continued saying looking at the Terra then at the wolf.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I need help from a doll that can’t even hunt properly.” The wolf said before he started walking away.
“Wait! My name is Terra! Would you want to be friends with me?” Terra said as she took a small step towards the big wolf.
“I’m Kai, the Wolf Dungeon Boss, and no thanks, friends aren’t needed but I might accept it just for when you want help.” He said as he wagged his tail as a form of farewell.
“He is weird.” She said in a low voice and Isis chuckled.
“He is just shy… and I knew he wouldn’t accept the party offer, he is what people call a solo player.” The AI said before she waved her hand to her. “Terra, see you later. That boy still needs a bit more of monitoring and I just don’t want to leave him alone since he is so interesting to mes- to watch.” She said before she turned into a small light ball which vanished in the same direction the big black and white wolf disappeared.
“Kai…” Terra said with a smile. “Though he didn’t accept my party offer he accepted my friendship offer.” She said before she turned to the dolls, which were standing still behind her. “We’re going to continue hunting! We need more power to grow stronger!” She said and the dolls, soon moved their hands and arms towards the sky.

Kai was thinking about the things the doll, Terra, had said to him and he couldn’t help but smile as he created the picture where the player attacked him just to be destroyed by his minions strength and number.
‘Just a few more hours and the puppies will be born.’ He thought as he continued to hunt the animals that lived around around the area to have enough supply for the minions he had and for the kids, if they weren’t able to hunt anything inside the dungeon, and to try to have the woman to agree with his offer to teach him magic.
He hunted for quite some time and only after he had gathered enough meat he walked back to his dungeon just to find the girl looking outside the cave with the daggers in her hands.
“What is it, girl?” Kai said to the girl.
“My brother… he said he wanted to talk to you, Mister Wolf.” She said looking at him.
“I understand, you can tell him that I’ll talk with him after I finish having my meal. Go look after him.” He said as he made his way towards one of the back rooms just to get some of the meat of the animals he hunted.
‘I still need to think in a way to cure him… or at least to find what is his illness.’ Kai thought as he bite into the meat of some lizard. ‘Let’s see what I know about his body… he is weak, coughed a lot, it looks like that healing herbs can make him feel better and the ones from inside a dungeon are better… and after he came here I saw that he stopped coughing as well.’ He continued to think. “Should ask the woman for help… maybe as a way to let her have some more freedom…” He said as he licked his lips clean just to go and see the boy inside the carriage.
“Boy, tell me what you want.” Kai said as he placed his head inside the carriage just to be surprised of how the boy's body had answered to the herbs.
His pale body had gained a lot more of color, it was still white but he now had a healthy rosy color on his cheeks.
“Mister Wolf…” The boy said as he stood up with the help of the girl. “I'm a lot better now…” He said with a smile.
“Good to know, but you're still weak, look at yourself, having to have help from a girl just to stand up… don't you think it is a shame?” Kai said with a smile but being surprised by his rapid recovery.
“I-I know that!” The boy said as he turned red like a tomato. “I'll soon start to stand without help…” He declared with burning eyes.
“Good boy.” Kai nodded. “So boy, what do you want to talk with me?” He said as the boy sat at the edge of the carriage.
“I just wanted to ask to be allowed to take… a walk around the cave you live in.” The boy asked with glowing eyes.
“You might be able to, but before that, shouldn't you start walking on your own?” Kai said looking at the two kids. “And girl, how is that one being? Did she try anything?” He asked the girl.
“She did try to talk me to open the cell… but Mister Wolf said to not do it, so I didn't open it.” She said shaking her head from one side to the other. “And the two horses are getting more and more accustomed with the wolves.” She added after a few seconds.
“Good to know that.” Kai said with a nod. “I'll go have that woman have a look at your brother. She is a noble and she has a good knowledge of the world, she might be able to help your brother, but I'm not going to allow her to do anything to you two.” He said placing both paws on the kids’ heads for a few seconds before he took them away. “We’re going now. Boy, you walk with your sister, I’ll be there talking with that person.” He said as he walked away without waiting for their answer.
Kai walked to the woman and as he stopped at the room she was being held prisoner the woman glared at him before she turned her around showing him her back.
He found it funny that the woman showed her back to the enemy and even dared to glare at him inside his own territory as if it was the most natural thing to do.
“You sure started to think that you’re a high being inside this place.” Kai said as he sat on the ground.
“I’m useful to you, that is why you won’t kill me.” She said without turning to face him.
“You’re useful, but it just don’t mean you aren’t dispensable.” Kai said with a smile. “I can probably find some people that will teach me magic if I threaten them and their family, if not… I can just ‘learn’ it on my own.” He said just to chuckle as the woman quickly stood up turning to face him.
“Then… why are you letting me live?” She asked with tears falling from her eyes. “I had a life outside and now I’m your prisoner, I can do nothing and I’m scared! I don’t even know if you will let me alive after you learn what you want!” She shouted at him and Kai was a bit surprised to see that the woman was actually scared to that point.
“I understand that, but you’re not the only one I’m taking care right now… I have a brother and sister that I took under my care, and I want to ask you to look at the boy’s sickness, he has an illness that no one could cure and I was asked to cure it, but I don’t know the problem but I know it can be cured if he continues to stay here.” Kai said looking at the woman. “And for you, I will let you alive after you have been done with teaching me and my subordinates magic, though you might never be released as they grow in number each passing day. But I’ll let you have your ‘freedom’.” He said seriously as he looked at the woman’s eyes.
“Are you going to be true to your words?” The woman asked after thinking for a bit.
“If you do what I say and follow my rules, I don’t see why I wouldn’t let you ‘free’, though under supervision.” Kai said just to turn as he saw the two kids walking together. “You are to look at the boy and to tell me his illness.” He said as he walked to the passage and helped both kids to walk towards her cell.
“What does he have?” The woman asked as she walked closer to the stone bars.
“I don’t know, but Nathan has…” The girl started saying the symptoms he was having since he was a small and the woman’s eyes turned wide as the girl finished saying the symptoms.
“He has mana depletion!” The woman said as she looked at the boy’s weak body. “There are a few cures but most of them are dangerous and even if the body is cured, the people that suffer from it will continue to leak mana.” She said turning to the boy and placing her hand on his head. “You’re not hot…” She said surprised.
“It is because a dungeon had more mana than the outside world.” Kai said after listening to the reason the boy was sick.
“Even if the place has more mana, his body can’t store a single drop of mana, which all people have some.” The woman said as she asked the boy to open his mouth and show her his tongue. “He is living a better life here… his body is responding to the mana in the air and is adapting to be able to hold a bit of mana from it.” She said as she looked at the boy a bit astonished.
“I see… so not only dungeons are a good thing for us, Bosses, as it help us grow, it still make weak people to be able to grow…” Kai said as he looked at the boy. “Boy, you will be staying here for a while, we are going to take care of you in the meantime while you, girl, will go back to your village.” He said and the girl looked at him with round eyes.
“But Mister Wolf-!” She started but he placed his paw on the top of her head.
“You’re going back to gather some of the boy’s clothes and to tell your parents that he is still alive and what his illness actually is.” Kai said and the girl only stared at him. “And you can bring some clothes for you too, I know you won’t let your brother alone.” He said as he rolled his eyes.
“Thanks Mister Wolf.” The girl quickly jumped and hugged his neck. “I’ll tell Daddy and Mommy what Nathan has and will come back!” She said as she started to walk towards the entrance of the room.
“Girl! Use one of the horses!” Kai said gesturing to the horses that were being held in the same room as the woman.
“Okay!” She shouted but soon a small light appeared from Kai’s front paw and a small doll appeared while it floated over the ground.
“I’m Isis, the Goddess of Life.” Isis said as she appeared before the group.
Kai sighed and the three humans were looking at the doll in awe as it slowly landed on the ground with light steps.
“My Goddess!” The woman said kneeling at the ground with her right hand on her chest.
“Isis, what do you want?” Kai said snorting at the AI doll.
“You insolent! This is the Goddess of Life! She was the only great goddess of our world!” The woman shouted at him and Kai couldn't help but smile at her words.
“Is this thing a goddess?” Kai asked as he placed his paw over the doll’s head just to press it to the ground. “This doll is an annoying thing someone gave me.” He said as he used all his strength to press it to the ground.
“Kai! Stop doing that! I came here to help you!” Isis said as she lightly punched his leg.
“Is that what you have to say?” Kai asked lifting his leg just for the doll to stand up and pat her dress.
Coughing Isis continued as if nothing had happened, making the boy and woman wonder if it was a common thing to happen between them.
“Dawn Brenda Phoebe Bush, this one is one my many proteges, he wants your cooperation to heal the boy, and as you have noticed, he has a case of mana depletion and you will gain some freedom, I say it on behalf of my name as the Great Goddess of Life.” Isis said with a god-like voice. “And if you teach him magic, I am sure that you will gain many benefits from this choice of his.” She said with a god aura.
“You're saying too much.” Kai said placing his paw on her head. “And you're talking too many things that aren't needed.” He said to her. “And woman, tell me now!”
“…” The woman just stood there looking at their exchange with strange eyes. “Is this the Goddess?” She murmured as she shook her head.
“Mister Wolf! So cool!” The boy said looking at him, and Kai would have blushed if he wasn't covered in fur.
“Now, Isis, tell me the real reason you came.” He said looking at the doll that was under his paw.
“To help you grow?” She asked just to have Kai’s power to press her even harder than before. “I came to see if I could give you a few tips of how to handle people and to laugh at your mistakes!” She shouted as she heard her body start to make some noises.
“Is this the real personality of The Great Goddess?” The woman asked as she looked at their exchange.
