Roran was happy as he returned home. He was about to be free from the curse of not being able to enter deep inside the forest.
“Soon that black beast will die.” He said as he sat on his chair with the green paper before him. “The threat we had to see will vanish and the forest will return as it was.” He said glancing at the red paper.
Roran stopped as he looked at the paper, his mouth was wide open and he couldn’t believe what he had just seen.
“Wait… it was green a second ago! Why did it turn red?!” He asked looking at the red paper on his hands. “No way… did… did the five stars adventurers get killed by that beast?” He asked as he continued to stare at the paper before him for some minutes before he heard some noise coming from behind, so he quickly hid the paper inside his clothes.
“Daddy… is something wrong?” Roran’s daughter asked as she rubbed her eyes with her hands.
“Nothing, my sweety.” He answered with a smile on his face. “Daddy was only thinking where he should hunt today.” He said as he got his bow that was near his chair.
“Then… can I see Mister Wolf today?” She asked her father with pleading eyes.
“Maybe tomorrow, my sweety. Father has a lot of work to do today.” Roran said passing his hand on the girl’s head. “If tomorrow I have less work I’ll bring you to see him.” He added as he walked to the door.
“Okay daddy. I love you.” She said as she run back to her room.
‘I hope we are still alive tomorrow.’ Roran thought as he walked towards the forest with his shaky legs.

Kai made a small room with six square meters and placed the sleeping woman, whose clothes and weapons were taken away by his minions before he made a jail door, made of stone to appear before the room.
“With this she will not be able to run away.” He said nodding as he walked away from the room she placed the woman.
‘Status!’ Kai said on his mind.

“No way…” Kai said as he stared at the numbers. “EIGHT MINIONS DIED BY THEIR HANDS!” He shouted as he cursed the stupid humans that attacked his dungeon.
“And I was planning to have the black wolves evolve soon… it looks like that I’ll have to wait to get some before they are all able to evolve.” He said and ordered all his minions to breed.
He did not care about the dungeon safety or food shortage for now. With the numbers of minions he had now, it would be almost impossible to grow stronger if he did not leveled up or made a way to have some more stronger minions, quickly so he used 30 points to make all his wolves races minions to go in heat.
“This will be enough for now.” Kai said as he walked towards the dungeon entrance, where he found a carriage and two horses tied to a tree. “So they left this behind…” He said before he walked to the horses before he shook his head. “I can’t kill these… they might have other things inside their carriage.” He said before he walked to the carriage.
He entered, though he had to be lying down and would need to drag his body inside so he could see what was inside and what he found was nothing more than rations, some water bags, blankets and surprisingly enough, a tent.

“Were they rich adventurers?” Kai thought as he looked at the amount of things that were inside the carriage, though most of them were rations and something the party would need while they camped. “A set of pans… knives… and… some other things I can’t figure out what they are.” He said as he used his shadow to move everything from the carriage to his dungeon without the need of him having to go in and out of the carriage many times.
Kai walked outside and looked at the sky before deciding that it would be better to bring the carriage to his dungeon, so he pushed it in just to put it on the first room and with a nod he lied besides it. He had nothing to do and having the carriage at his side would be much better than leaving it outside where it could be easily stolen.
“I still have to think how I will use it…” He said as he looked at the thing he placed inside his dungeon. “But man… I didn’t know that it would be this boring after only one fight.” He said as he rolled on his back.

Laura stood besides her brother’s room as she listened to her mother’s voice.
“Nathan, you’re strong… you can fight it.” She would repeat the same phrase over and over again while the boy could only cough repeatedly.
‘The herbs I got from Mister Wolf ended… and Nathan’s health started to turn bad once more…’ She thought as she listened behind the door.
The day was sunny when they had woken up but soon it started to rain and it was at the same time her brother started to cough without stop.
“You were so well. You’re a strong kid.” Laura heard her mother saying with a gentle voice. “You will soon get better.” She continued to say and Laura couldn’t do anything more than just stand there and wait.
‘Mister Wolf…’ The girl thought as she looked at her small hands. ‘Can I go back today to get more herbs, right?’ She asked herself as she closed her hands into fists.
She run to her bedroom and from under the bed she took a big bag she had sewn. It was big enough to cover her whole body and inside it was full of her treasured charm.
Laura placed her bag on her back and with her red hood she covered her body before she walked outside.
‘I’ll be back soon.’ She said on her mind as she used her small legs to run at her maximum speed towards the place she knew Mister Wolf would be. He was the only one she could think would help her, no matter what the adults said, Mister Wolf wasn’t a bad wolf. She understood it. The way he talked was like one of the old lady’s from the village. She acted all cold but would help people, while cursing and saying that they should just take care of themselves.
‘Mister Wolf! Mister Wolf!’ Laura ran inside the forest, but no beast or animal appeared to stop her.
She used her legs to run all the distance towards the big cave she remembered seeing the big wolf, who scared her at first, but later she could understand why he acted that way.
“MISTER WOLF!” Laura shouted once she was close to the cave. Tears were falling down her face and together with the rain it soaked her body.
It was then that a big shadow appeared covered her from the rain.
“I told you to not come here ever again.” The voice said and she couldn’t help but smile.
“My brother…” Laura started as the big wolf covered her small body with its own. “He is weak… I need more herbs… but yours are the best ones…” She said with her eyes full of tears.
“So you came here to get some more.” Mister Wolf asked and the girl nodded. “You’re risking your life… don’t ever come here, but since you’re here, let’s go inside.” He said and using its big mouth it carried her inside.
“But my brother…” She said once she was put on the ground.
“Child…” Mister Wolf started calmly. “You’re not supposed to be here.” He said and Laura started to feel that he would refuse to help her.
“But… Nathan is getting weaker… but with the herbs I got from this cave he started to feel better. He could even walk a bit!” She said as she held Mister Wolf’s big leg. “He started to look well…” She said as tears rolled down her face.
“…” The wolf didn’t say a thing and only watched the girl cry on his arms. “You came all the way here… to ask for help, even though you knew I said to not come here ever again?” He finally opened his mouth.
“Y-Yes…” Laura said without looking up.
“My goddess… and here I thought I could have a rest.” He said lying down. “Get on, you’re going with me to bring your brother here.” He said and Laura stared at him. “Or you want to come here and annoy me every single day? Come, hop on or I’ll just destroy your house to get the boy out.”
“I’ll be going!” She said with a smile as she held on Mister Wolf’s fluffy fur.
“I’ll be running, don’t fall off.” The wolf said as he walked outside the cave.

Kai run back towards the girl’s village. He had never seen the girl act so desperate and the tone of her voice made him want to help her and as soon as she finished talking a new quest appeared before him. It wasn’t like the one Isis gave him, this one was given by a resident of this world.
‘Stupid girl… to run all the way to my dungeon while wearing that stupid red hood.’ Kai thought but was actually happy to see why she wanted to come to gather the herbs in his dungeon. ‘But under this rain and moreover… inside the forest full of beasts…’ He couldn’t decide if the girl was brave or reckless.
“Girl, I’ll get your brother from his bedroom, you just make sure to distract whomever is at your house, and once I get him, you’re going back with me to my dungeon.” Kai said once he stopped at the village entrance.
“Okay. I’ll take mommy out of the room for a while, you take good care of Nathan.” She said before she guided him towards her small house.
“Mommy!” The girl called once she entered the house and Kai quickly made his way towards the place she had said her brother’s room was.
Kai looked inside through a window. It was a room that had almost nothing, only a chair, bed, a small table and a small wardrobe.
‘This place… it smells like a hospital.’ He thought as he opened the window from the outside.
“Who’s… there?” A sickly voice came from inside.
“You sister came asking for my help. I’m Kai, and even is she is an annoyance… I can’t just let you alone… she came all the way to my cave only to request my help.” Kai said as he looked at the pale face of the boy, whose bed was a bit away from the window.
“Mister Wolf…” He said and a small smile appeared on his lips before he started coughing.
“Don’t talk.” Kai ordered and used his front leg to pull the bed towards the window. It wasn’t noiseless but he did not care because the boy was already on his reach.
He placed his head through the window and using his mouth he took the boy’s clothes and started to pull him out of the bed when the door was suddenly opened.
A woman stood there and Kai saw her face. She was filled with terror as she watched the him taking the boy.
“NOOOOO!” The woman shouted and started to run towards him.
Kai didn’t gave her the time as he quickly took the coughing boy outside before he started running just to find the girl running outside her house.
“Hop on.” He said as he put the sick boy on his back after the girl hopped on. “Grab on me again. And boy… don’t fall or else this will not end well.” He said to both and he felt the four hands grip his fur before he darted off.
Kai run all the way to his dungeon, but until they left the village, he could hear a woman shouting the names of the two kids. The shout were full of terror as if she was scared to lose both kids at once.
‘You will see them soon.’ He said on his mind to the woman, who would never listen such gentle voice, because Kai was a lord, one to be feared, not one to be seen as a beautiful and cute pet dog.
