In the magical world of Alterna, war and death is commonplace. The strong rule and the weak obey. But what happens when a foreign power enters the world in the form of a system? Specifically, the Duelist System.  No one knows the cause of its appearance, but everyone knows of the benefits it can provide. Whether it be fame, riches, power or knowledge, the system provided. Those chosen by the system as a Duelist are known to rise in status and achieve feats deemed impossible in their previous states. Slaw is a kid many consider to be cowardly, and he wouldn't deny it. His reputation among his neighbors are in the negatives. Working as a miner to barely earn a living, Slaw was destined to be an existence that leaves no mark on the world and is quickly forgotten. However it all changes when he gets chosen by the Duelist System.  Now being a Duelist, Slaw's fate takes a huge turn as his future becomes undetermined. As for how it turns out, what he does next will decide his end.  Euclideye here! This is my first novel AND first try at making one. Expect some plot holes and grammar errors in the future.
