Synopsis
This is probably not the story you are looking for. No, seriously. This is RR. You are probably looking for litrpg, which this definitely isn't. This story is not cool. It is definitely not common fare that everyone likes. This is the kind of story you either love or hate, not so much in between. If you are looking for stat boxes, kindly turn around and return to the Most Read page. If you're looking for something awesome, you should really try The Wandering Inn, Dungeon Crawler Carl, or anything by Sebastien de Castell or Wilbur Smith, or that person who wrote that book with the stuff and the thing and those people who did things. It was epic. Trust me, bro.
This book is a portal fantasy. It was inspired by the Xanth universe from way back in the day but is written for adults. It is sometimes serious and sometimes absurd. Hopefully, there's a few laughs. There's a crazy amount of outdated cultural references you won't get cuz the author is middle-aged and you're too young. There is adventure but also stupid puns. As puns are regarded as both the highest and lowest type of humour, if you are of the latter mindset, please quietly exit stage left and do not leave a one-star review. Don't be that guy who craps on art they're not a fan of who then ruins it for others. Be the guy who only cheers the stuff they like. Everyone likes that guy.
Uh, there's a plot. This dude from Earth ends up in a fantasy world after a bad breakup and goes about making himself whole again. He befriends a talking skeleton, and they go save a princess. There's a really old wizard named Beers who does beer magic. There's a fairy excited to see the wider world. There's a sexy, hot, evil enchantress with a thing for spiders who dissects living people and who may or may not be a love interest. Did I mention the puns and absurdity and cultural references? They have nothing to do with the plot.
