Ketterburg has become the world power it's previous leaders dreamed it would be. With Ozymandias' demons beat back, the world is looking for a new path forward. However, humans and monsters have conflict brewing; the humans have years of feeling inferior under their belt, and the long living monsters feel as if they were the only ones fighting the war against Ozymandias. The monster kingdoms are divided, though: in the case of a war, will they unite under Ketterburg or Greater-Talentare? With Greater-Talentare's fearsome leader, Theseus, it feels wrong to do anything but unite under them. Yet, Ketterburg holds more power now. Will a war for succession be evaded, or will the human kingdoms gain an edge? But in the background of all this, a war much older than all of the others is waged. With gods, resurrections, and people powerful enough to wipe out kingdoms playing an intricate game of chess, the fate of the world is uncertain.
