As one of the resident healers in a border town, Kingsley Warrick did his best to help the people around him.  He did his best to stay under the radar of the terrible rulers of the land, who would exploit him or his family for his power.  The hero of the land is more than enough for the king anyway, but when The Pale attacked his town, his secret was found out.  Now the Hero and the King will force Kingsley out of his home and life, and if he's lucky, he'll get to go home alive.This story will be crossposted to other sites under the same username.
