A world of magic

I stayed in the spot I had landed, getting to know all the locals. I’ve heard from some of my children, who lived around the area I was in, talk about how word of my arrival spread like wildfire throughout the world. How some didn’t believe what was told to them while others journeyed to see me for themselves. I chuckled softly as I met new creatures every day. Some different kinds of humans, dwarves, and elves each had darker or much lighter skin tones, different species of beastfolk as well, even different kinds of animals that traveled from far and wide to be in my presence.

I felt truly loved and wanted as I talked with these different creatures on a daily basis. I didn’t move from where I landed because I didn’t want to destroy landscapes or villages with the beating of my wings or stomping around on my weight. Being in this spot lessened all chances of any destruction from how large my dragon form was.

Time and time again many wanted a show of my powers and some even came to me to ask for what they called riches. I gave them different gemstones and ores while showing many my fire breath. I’d be visited by creatures of very impressive jobs as they called it. Some did smithing, clothes making, farming, parchment making, architecture, cooking and many others.

Some had jobs that were truly taxing on the body such as knights, paladins, spearman, archers, shielders, mages and so many different kinds of occupations, but I noticed when I saw someone who wielded magic none of them were human. Even my own children had all sorts of magic at their disposal, but the humans, no matter who tried to teach them, could not use magic at all. It truly was a very curious thing as in many worlds I’d come across while trying to find a home I witnessed many planets with humans on it use magic of all kinds. It wasn’t like Mother god to not bestow such gifts upon her children. But it wasn’t my concern. Maybe they haven’t unlocked their potential or haven’t found the right creatures to teach them.

Some of my children noticed my pondering thoughts. I asked them to show me a spectacular show of their powers and magic. I witnessed each use nature magic, elemental magic, spirit magic, and even spacial magic. I noticed dwarfs could use elemental magic as they worked with ores and metals. The elves and fairies could use nature magic and some spacial magic and the beastfolk could use spiritual magic they also had a high chance of having a Saintess chosen by Poipooie to help lead them.

I realized that even without magic the humans did well without. The others helped them greatly, beastman taught hunting, dwarves taught craftsmanship, and the elfs taught battle strategy. The humans themselves helped the others by teaching them farming and agriculture. It made me excited to see all the gifts working together. As for my children they brought academics and history, they helped the dwarfs with giving tempered fires, they helped the humans with water gathering and helping with hunting, as with the elven they helped with medicine and healing herbs. Everyone helped everyone. It made me proud but I felt so lacking I couldn’t help nor journey around without harming farmlands or destroying forests or even breaking mountains. My form was too gigantic. I laid there day after day talking to many creatures learning about their individual lives and yearned for adventures and to see the world through a smaller body. I thought many times to make myself smaller but to do so my extra amount of powers would need somewhere to go, which if left unchecked could do more harm than me staying as I am.
