Sheilah is a young girl growing up in the Tribe of the Dragons, a clan that lives in the wilderness of the Redstone Valley where the grim motto of the people is "You live and die by your own strength." Her clan worships and reveres the apex of all creatures: the Dragon, a monstrous being that demands subjugation and destruction of everything that falls beneath its overwhelming gaze. She's rapidly approaching her coming-of-age ceremony, a ritual hunt that pits her wits and skills against a deadly dragon- alone.
