In the great land of Ceylon, a terrible tragedy has struck the port town of Saltspray in the kingdom of Eclipsia: a dragonapping! Rufarious, their beloved dragon protector, has been kidnapped by the brazen Princess Viliana. It seems as if the princess simply woke up and decided she wanted a pet dragon and no one was going to stop her. Using magic to bind poor Rufarious, she carted the dragon off to Castle Torrent. Normally the King and Queen would do their best to repair the damage caused by their daughter's dubious escapades, but the always reclusive Castle Torrent has been closed to its people entirely and no one has seen or heard from King or Queen. In desperation, the townspeople seek out the young wizard Leonan, Windmage and keeper of the Griffin Roost lighthouse... Join the wizard Leonan on his journey to rescue the region’s dragon-protector from the hands of the kingdom’s own princess. In this interactive fiction, the reader will decide which path that Leonan will take, altering the people and places he will encounter along the way. Whether Leonan is ultimately successful at any or all of his goals will be determined by which choices the readers make, voted on in the comments section. Posts will be every other day to allow time for vote comments, with the exception of bridge passages that do not require a choice, but lead directly to the next section. In those cases the next post will be the following day. If you come to this work later, you will still be able to choose your own path in the full piece that will be made available at the end. Admittedly, this work was written with a youth audience in mind, which RR is decidedly more mature, but I think the story is decent enough that I still wanted to share it.
