There is a legend. A legend that dates back to the god wars.  It claims that just before the gods died sealing the forgotten one, they created a dragon egg.  They said that the egg would only hatch when the world needed it most.  But the god wars happened millions of years ago and few know the legend. Fewer still believe it.
