Synopsis
Amrite wakes in a sterile asylum, bound in a straitjacket, with no memory of the past three months.
The harsh lights and cold walls offer no solace, only questions. Why is he here? What happened to him? His life had been ordinary-painfully so. A mundane existence marked by the ache of his rheumatism, a steady job, and distant relationships. But now, that normalcy has been shattered. As fragments of his old life resurface-faint memories of a phone call, a hospital, and an unsettling sense of disconnection-he learns that his stay in the asylum is the result of a "severe episode." Yet, the truth feels deeper, darker, and maddeningly out of reach.
Before he can make sense of the fragmented pieces, an unsettling voice begins to speak, not from the world around him but from within his own mind. Its cryptic words offer no clarity, only confusion: Would you like to begin a new voyage? And before Amrite can refuse-or even comprehend-the world around him dissolves into darkness.
When he wakes again, it’s in an entirely different world-one of magic, danger, and ancient mysteries. He is no longer the person he was, but a stranger in his own skin. His rheumatism is gone, his body strong, yet the weight of his lost memories lingers. In this unfamiliar land, Amrite learns he was once a traveller between dimensions, whose choices left ripples across realms. But those memories, and the truths they carry, have been stolen from him.
Now, thrust into a reality he cannot remember and with demons both literal and figurative hunting him, Amrite must rediscover who he is, unravel the forces that took his past, and confront the shadow within. Demons will need to be triumphed, both the ones waiting for him-and the ones already inside.
