Duck, a middle-aged warrior hailing from the outskirts of Lushwood who now teaches fire magic in the kingdom, lives a fairly quiet life on the supercontinent, Coalesce. That all changes when hidden and powerful figures turn the once united kingdoms against each other in a desperate bout for power. Duck is forced to turn his back on all he knows and allow his past to seep back into him. Ducks best effort to keep the pain of his old life away while he is the only one upholding the mantle of freedom drive him into unforeseen conflicts. Will kingdoms ravage each other or will Duck unite the people under his undying will?
