Curo was startled by the sudden voice inside his head, however, in but a moment, he let out a bitter smile, “Just a half dead, crippled brat that senior seems to be keeping alive for some reason.” After saying so, he felt a slight tug as he seemed to be brought closer to the person.
He could hear the voice inside his head again, “The reason I gave a bit of my already sparse Qi to heal your wounds and extend your life was simply because I feel my blood in you.” The voice stopped for a moment before continuing, “Although, the fluctuations of the blood are weak, they are still present. Do you belong to the Jing Clan?”
Hearing this, Curo’s mind was blown. When he heard the last question, he turned solemn as he said coldly, “No, I belong to the Ji Clan. My mother was from the Jing Clan.” Hearing this, the voice grew quiet for a moment as it seemed to have picked up something and asked, “Was?”
Curo let out a sad chuckle as he said, in almost a maniacal voice, “Yes, was. She died when she protected me from a plot of my Father’s Clan. She died and I was thoroughly crippled to never be able to cultivate again.” Hearing this, the voice grew silent. Curo didn’t even know why he had said all that but he just felt that is was the right thing to do. After a few minutes passed in silence, Curo felt himself lower to the ground. When his feet touched the ground again, he fell on his bottom as he had no strength to stand.
Sitting up right took everything that he had. As he sat there, he suddenly felt something squishy and warm appear in his hands. His eyes had been completely destroyed during the Spatial Transfer, so he would never be able to recover his sight. For someone, who had always been praised for his sharp and keen eyes, this was a hard blow. From now on, the only thing he would be able to see was darkness.
Just as he wanted to throw away the squishy thing in his hands, a voice sounded out in his head, “Go ahead, eat it.” He tilted his head as he slightly sniffed the thing in his hand. He cautiously asked, “What is it?” The voice simply answered, “Meat. Uncooked but still fresh meat. Here, there is no way to build a fire to roast it and Qi is non existent here, so every bit I use will ultimately be gone forever.” Hearing this, Curo gulped hard as he made up his mind and dug his teeth into the meat.
The moment he managed to tear off a chunk and force it down his throat without throwing up, he felt vigorous energy fill his body. If he could see his wounds, he would be shocked as they healed with a speed visible to the naked eye and only scars were left now. Feeling the vigorous energy, he felt extremely comfortable as he quickly wolfed down the entire chunk of meat.
After finishing his first, and a well needed, meal in days, his body was filled to the brim with energy. He could feel that his body had grown several times stronger just by eating that small chunk of meat. He slowly stood up and cupped his hands towards the place he thought the Senior was. He said, “I sincerely thank you Senior.”
The Senior seemed to stay silent for a moment before he said, “Do you want to cultivate?” Hearing this, Curo was shocked for a moment before his anger flared out. He had always been kind and charming but being crippled was something that had always made him feel useless. Although, no one ever said anything bad to him or bullied him because of it but he could always see it in their eyes, the mockery, pity.
Curo said lashing out, “Do you find this fucking funny old fart? I told you, my meridians were shattered beyond hope. No amount of Divine or Heavenly Pills will be able to repair my meridians. Not even an Origin Realm Healing Arts Master was able to do anything.” He then threw his finger out as he finished his lashing, “Now you ask me, if I wanted to cultivate?! Do you honestly fucking think that I would be here if there was any hope for me to cultivate?!” After saying all that, he heaved heavy breaths as his rage calmed down. The voice was eerily quiet as Curo calmed down and realized what he had just done. As he stood there, calmed down, he had an extremely embarrassed expression on his face.
This Senior had saved his life several times in the past few days, also, he seemed to be connected to him. Now that he thought about it, this Senior would have never asked that without something in his mind. The voice broke the awkward silence by saying, “I understand why you lashed out but next time, let me finish. I never said anything about repairing your meridians.”
Curo tilted his head as his brows furrowed. The voice then said something that made Curo’s brows jump to the top of his head as he exclaimed out loud, “Is that even possible?!”

After putting his hand on the man’s head, Ji Long’s hand slightly glowed and the man’s eyes rolled to the back of his head. Suddenly, extreme murderous aura enveloped the hall. As everyone were suffocated by the aura, Ji Long spat out each word with extreme hate, “XIE HUANG!”
That was all they needed to hear to understand what was going on. Everyone’s faces turned dark as they gnashed their teeth in anger. Not even now would those bastards leave him alone. He was already crippled and to have an assassin sent after him….
It was obvious that Xie Huang was betting on the reality of their Ancestor being a Later Origin Realm cultivator while Ji Long was only an Initial Stage one. After a few moments of gnashing their teeth, one burly middle aged man with a scar running over his left eye asked, “What are we going to do now? Not only can we not swallow this, I will go alone if need be.” After saying so, everyone looked at Ji Long. Ji Long had calmed down a bit as he fell into thought and said, “The first priority is to find Curo. We can take revenge later on.”
After hearing this, everyone nodded and Ji Long threw each of them a jade slip. He then said, “His Soul Aura is sealed in them. Gather your troops and disperse to look for signs of the Soul Aura.” Hearing this, they all quickly grabbed the jade slips as they turned into beams of light and flew out of the hall. When Ji Long was the only one left, his hands hat had been clenched hard into fists, gently released as he took out a few pearls and directed his Qi into it.
For nearly a month, there was a huge turmoil amongst the worlds. The Ji Clan that now settled in was in a frenzy, scouring left and right. In the beginning all of the Clans, Sects and Academies were puzzled in the beginning but when news spread that the Ji Clan’s Young Master had been targeted for assassination by the Xie Clan, it made sense to them.
Hearing that by chance, he had managed to escape with his life for now, made all of the forces sigh in relief for now. However, they all knew that even though the Young Master Ji Curo was alive, there is no way the Ji Clan would leave it at that. Once they managed to secure the Young Master from where ever he was transported or even worse, if he died, then rivers of blood would flow.
Each side had many friends, however, the people that had a close relationship with the Xie Clan were starting to distance themselves. The boy was already crippled and was already gone from the Clan…. To now send even an assassin after him was truly them being idiots. People couldn’t understand how the Xie Clan could possibly do something this stupid.
The boy was not even a threat any more and the Ji Clan did not trouble them either. To do this now, they could not see it as anything more than foolishness.
Slowly, over the span of the month, all of the squads that were sent out converged in a single location, a place far too familiar to them: The Xie Clan’s Main Branch’s home, The Xie City. When they arrived outside the City, all of the major forces of the Realm were on the edge. No matter how you looked at it, this was going to end with one side being decimated.
Just as the two sides were glaring down at each other, a deep and loud rumbling sounded out form beneath the Xie Clan. Just as everyone present were startled by the rumbling sounds, the ground started trembling. Ji Long narrowed his eyes as he looked towards the Xie Clan. Until now, the Xie Clan had over turned all of the accusations and inquiries. They were adamant on not having anything to do with the attack or with the Curo disappearing. As the rumbling sound grew louder, the trembling of the ground also grew.
The Xie Clan Ancestor, Xie Feng looked towards Ji Long and asked, “Is this your doing?” JI Long was startled by the question and gently shook his head. Although, the Ancestor was a part of the Xie Clan, he held no malice towards him. He was always in closed door training and never interfered with the clan matters. To what had happened, even he had been enraged but in the end he did not take action. No one could blame him either because at one side was a Nascent Soul Elder and at the other side, only a crippled young boy. No matter how high he might have reached, the crux of the matter was that he was crippled now.
As the trembling grew louder, fissures started spreading on the ground and everyone distanced themselves from the heart of the cracks. When the rumbling reached it’s climax, the ground suddenly burst open and a gigantic shadow emerged form the ground. As everyone’s gazes fixated on the giant shadow in the sky, they soon made out that it was a gigantic Dragon. Everyone sucked in a deep breath as the Xie Clan’s Ancestor’s face turned ugly. The Dragon excluded a pressure that was far more powerful than any Origin Realm Expert that was present.
“Hey, isn’t that the Young Master?” As a voice sounded out, The eyes of every person present focused on the top of the gigantic dragons head and it was as the voice said. On the head of the dragon stood a lone figure. When people looked at him more closely, they discovered that it truly was Ji Curo. Seeing this, Ji Long heaved a sigh of relief before his eyes turned cold and he stared murderously towards the Xie Clan.
He coldly stated, “I thought you said you had nothing to do with it? Then why has he appeared from right under the Xie Clan’s Headquarters?!” As his voice boomed, he followed up, “I refuse to believe that you have no idea on what happens in your own backyard!” Just as those words echoed out, the giant dragon in the sky started shrinking and when it was only the size of a thumb, it entered Curo’s chest.
The moment it did, countless experts from the Ji Clan surrounded him in a protective formation. Seeing that Curo was safe now, Ji Long turned towards the Xie Clan and started walking towards them with a cold and murderous gaze.
It was evident to every one present that this was only going to end in a blood bath.
