Many ages ago, a mighty Cataclysm spawned by Destiny transformed the world, changing the laws of reality in accordance with its divine will. This world reborn by Destiny is ruled by the Seraphim—the knights and messengers of the self-same God which spawned the Cataclysm—who use their holy God-given powers to maintain stability and order in the realms of men.  Along an ancient, dusty highway, deep within the wild country which lies between the world's great cities rests the peaceful village of Shiloh, a town so small and so remote that even bandits don't bother it. In this village lives Amara, a twenty-year-old girl living with her mother in the crumbling hovel that is their ancestral family home. Poverty seems to be her lot in life, that is until the forces of Destiny arrive to change it. Amara is one of the Destined, a normal person granted superhuman powers for an unknown purpose.  But all is not as it seems. Destiny's true will is unknowable, and the Seraphim are not all of one mind. The world teeters on the brink of a new rebirth, with Amara standing at the beating heart of the struggle.
