"Don't look back- you're not going that way."   When a young cat seeks freedom and life beyond the fenced boundaries of the farm grounds, she turns to the advice of other troubled pets and the company of a battled shepherd.   With the wise words of her distant human owners and her elder barn-mates, she begins her journey to seek the heart of the wilderness within the faraway mountains. But troubles soon arise along the way- from the disappearance of her scarred companion to the difficulties of crossing through cities, the search for her new "home" grows more and more problematic by the minute.
