The Nine Peaks Sect is ancient. Nine masters settled on a central mountain range of a vast continent, conquering the surrounding lands while maintaining a tense peace. Over time, they abandoned large-scale martial conflicts in favor of a new challenge: which Peak could stand the tallest? This engineering rivalry sparked an era of innovation, and cities flourished at both the crown and crest of the peaks. As the ages passed, the cities expanded—at first along the roads connecting them, then outward until, without the stark reminder of the peaks themselves, all would have forgotten they had ever been separate cities at all.The goal for this story to have an ensemble cast, following at least one disciple from each peak.
