Once upon a time, there were only humans, and magic lived only in the remotest of places, barely perceptible to anyone.  Many years ago, however, magic returned to the world, and the souls of humanity came to exist in many varied forms once thought only to exist in folklore or imagination.Into this world was born the hobgoblin Badass Bard-Barian, Kanariya "Kana" Redhill, Conqueror of the Luminous Wastes, Deepest Delver of the Balcones, always ready to face any foe with her throwing axes and camera drones at the ready.  But sometimes, our public masks are not the totality of who we are, and Kanariya finds herself in the thick of a different kind of adventure after a chance encounter during a sudden squall with the free-spirited and funny Marielella Susanna, world travelling magic duellist and nighttime ASMRtist, idol singer, painter, and quite simply the prettiest girl (high elven or otherwise) Kana had ever seen.  Or even imagined.Kana had found fleeting fame herself, but was it a bridge too far for a tough hobgoblin gal to find love, too?  But Marielella is naturally far more than she seems ... and Kana very soon finds she's jumped feet first into a situation she can't just brute-force her way through.It's not every day, after all, that you fall in love with a harem protagonist, right?
