Synopsis
France, 1914. The first world war rages on, and two souls, a heavily pursued criminal and a military defector, cross paths while they try to flee the country. *** Suzanne Brassand is on the run after trying to take vengeance against the Arno family, who was involved in her father's untimely death. Trying to make it on her own in the French countryside, she is pursued by the mentioned family and law officials. She has only one mission: to get out of France alive. Daniel H. Hill, or Danny, is a British soldier who, after witnessing the horrors of trench warfare and seeing the brutal death of his best friend, risks execution by leaving in the middle of the night during his last day in a field hospital before his return to the frontlines. Taking off into the unfamiliar countryside, he knows the only way to escape this alive is by leaving the country altogether. In a random encounter, Suzanne and Daniel cross paths and realize that their goals align in more ways than one. With death nipping at their heels, will the two of them be able to escape, or will fate have other plans?
