Synopsis
26-year-old Raka works a seemingly dead-end job as an editor at a prestigious publishing company in Jakarta. Though unassuming and reserved in his everyday life, his reputation as the renowned “Midas” lands him high respect in the writing industry. While acclaimed due to his roles in editing some of the industry’s most successful novels, his surprisingly ruthless standards and unwavering ego in all things related to his art often make him clash with his authors, resulting in most of them refusing to finish their works with him. Threatened to be caught in an imminent downsizing should he fail to publish another major work, Raka remains at hope’s edge until he meets Ayunda, a young first-timer whose eccentric personality belies her nigh-prodigious writing skills. Forced by the threat of time looming on both opposites’ ends, Raka and Ayu would learn and grow over the course of their work—both as writers and as people. Though, one by one, the course of time would reveal the secrets of those around them—both work and folk alike.
