London, England, 1986. The London Metropolitan Police Force struggles daily with all manner of criminal activity - and in a quiet corner of an unassuming borough's police station, one man wiles away the nights making sure that that's all they have to deal with. Detective Rick Cole is the highest ranking and, presently, only member of the city's Department of Infernal Affairs - an off-the-records subset of the force dedicated to investigating eldritch, occult and otherwise un-natural happenings in the city. With a sliver of the Demon's magic at his own fingertips, the Detective may be London's first and last line of defense as a gruesome string of violent crimes show evidence of a serial offender at work - and not one of this world.
