In an ideal fictional world, upon being transported you would be given some immense power that no one in the alternate world could hope to surpass. "The chosen one has finally arrived!" they would proclaim. But in this reality of ours, there are simply no such concepts such as "the chosen one." Life will never be smooth sailing. And as long as there are humans, some key characteristics about human nature will never be changed. Thrust into an absurd situation of which he has no control over, the protagonist Shin must confront demons both external and internal as he navigates an unfamiliar world filled with darkness, but also strangely parallels the modern world from whence he came.
