The Gods live among us and they promise a world of infinite pleasure and glory, but ascension comes at a price. To appease the Gods, neighboring tribes constantly battle with each other in an endless war of bloodshed. They do this to prove to their Gods that they are worthy of ascension, and many over the years have been acknowledged for their abilities on the battlefield and off, leading them to the world of ascension. Riot and his lover Genevieve want nothing more than eternal salvation and give everything they have to show their Gods they are worthy. One of them is recognized for their outstanding ability and transcends into the world of the Gods, leaving the other behind to find a new path to eternal glory. However, they learn very quickly that the eternal glory they sought is not exactly what it seems.
