After a demonic entity, the DARKNESS, killed his husband and young son, OSCAR made a deal with a demon to become DEATHMATCH. Now that he is a powerful vigilante with music based powers, Deathmatch is dead set on obtaining the MASTERHAND, a legendary object said to be able to grant three wishes. He plans on using it to revive his loved ones, rid the multiverse of all those he deems as being “monsters”, and most significantly, purge his mind of the alternate identities that stem from his Dissociative Identity Disorder and childhood full of unbearable trauma. However, his most prominent alternate identity, TEMPO, warns him that the real monster he should be worrying about is MR. CHAMP, a corrupt political candidate whose entire campaign is fueled by misleading propaganda, and the promise that he will exterminate people in NEWON who are like Deathmatch. Deathmatch's simple plan gets messy when Mr. Champ decides that he also needs the Masterhand for himself...
