Greed... This is a component so strongly bonded to humans that there's probably no way to differentiate the two. The conquest to space and the follow-up colonization of the milky way and neighbouring galaxies has been no easy feat for humanity.  The number of deaths that has heralded the rise of humanity is so numerous that there probably exists no name or proper number to quantify it. Failure had become a synonym with this sentient civilization but they used their failures to ensure their growth. All the development and success can be attested to humanity's strongest trait; their adaptability and lessons from their crushing failures...or was it?... Many years have gone by ever since humanity ventured out to space, conquering alien colonies one after another and assimilating their gains...There's just one massive discrepancy that has remained unsolved, a simple question; how?... Space bears frightening mysteries and beings so bizarre that most human minds cannot withstand, from aliens that can survive interstellar radiations to beings that emit electromagnetic pulses strong enough to bring humanity back to its earliest ancient ages, not to mention warships with cannons strong enough to crack the core of a planet. one question; how did humanity survive. well, your questions are as many as mine and the more we learn the more we forget, ironically.
