A hint of fear in her father's eyes, the absence of her oldest friend, an unexplained addition to the library, an unpleasant stillness in the air, all these things warn her that her life is about to take a dark turn. She hopes she's just imagining things. She's not. She will need to run, need to hide, but some caves can hold both safety and danger, and the knowledge hidden in the earth may contain the answers she needs. My first attempt at writing a serial.
