My only goal is to become the strongest. To achieve it I must collect all the crown fragments of the World Calamity Monster, it's just that simple. But thanks to a bitch, I have a disgrace, and I have to get rid of this disgrace immediately so I can focus on achieving my goals.
As a Regressor, luckily I have a way to get rid of that disgrace.
Carmila's Husband which is the Class given to Camila by it is embedded in my vampire blood which is also given by Carmila. So to get rid of that Class I just need to get rid of the Carmila blood in me.
There are three ways.
The first way is to stop being a vampire by eliminating Carmila's blood in me. But that method is very difficult to implement, considering that Carmila is a being that is on par with the World Calamity Monster, so only beings that are equal to or higher than her can lift Carmila's blood in me. There's only one being that I can think of that can make it happen, the Prince of Disease and Curse, one of the six World Calamity Monsters. But as the one who wanted to kill him, I don't want to be indebted to him. After all, I never had a relationship with him and I also don't want to go back to being human.
The second way is to go back in time using the Hourglass of Regression. Carmila was attracted to me because I managed to defeat the Golden Conqueror. Which means, if I don't kill the Golden Conqueror, then Carmila won't make me her husband. I don't want to do this, not killing the Golden Conqueror would mean I wasted all my hard work.
The third way is to overwrite Carmila's blood with Vampire blood which is stronger than hers. But this is very difficult, because that woman is the strongest Vampire of all the Vampires alive. That's why I need to go to the place called Bloodsea, the place that is the burial ground for all the ancient vampires, and also the place where they laid down their legacy. It was in Bloodsea that I would definitely get Vampire blood which is stronger than Carmila.
But Bloodsea is a very dangerous place, and also very difficult to find vampire food there. That's why I wanted to make Freya a slave, have her help me in Bloodsea as well as be my source of food.
But… it seems my plan won't go smoothly.
After using Dragonfication, Freya's form changed to that of a dragon. The elbow area below is covered by scales, it also occurs in the knee area below. A pair of dragon wings that looked like bats, only white, appeared from his back. Her pupils turned vertical and her irises turned golden. Two white horns appeared on either side of its head, curving upwards with golden tips. Her straight hair turned silver with golden tips.
With a golden aura radiating from her body, she looked like a goddess that had descended from heaven.
But what also surprised Lucas was that Freya's clone also underwent a change.
“…Erm?” I now know why she stayed away to this lonely place, she didn't want her secret to be exposed. Dragonfication, is only a skill possessed by those with dragon blood. This answered why she had such extraordinary regeneration, and also why my status instantly recovered just from absorbing a bit of her blood.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
This is the first time I see this change. Even Freya the Sword Saint that is in my memories has never been in this form. Now that I think about it, wouldn't the Sword Saint easily kill me if he used this Skill? But why didn't he use it? I already know the answer. Because of her not killing me and letting me live so I could continue cultivating the art of the sword, which she would steal in the end.
This accursed girl was not a Sword Saint, but a Steal Saint.
"Let's start round two."
"Yeah, you're right."
My desire to enslave her is getting bigger.
With a single move, Freya surprisingly arrived in front of Lucas and made him chuckle. Of course, what changed was not only her appearance, but also her strength. Freya threw a slash aiming for Lucas' neck, but Lucas swiftly blocked it with Evil Hand, even though he was still sent backwards. Before he could recover his balance, Lucas unluckily met Freya's clone who was ready to cut him down, Lucas frantically activated Accelerartion to be able to withstand the attack again. Two attacks he managed to withstand, but not with the third. Lucas slides off thanks to an attack from the clone, encountering the real Freya.
Seeing Freya's slash aimed at his neck, Lucas tried to block it, but he failed. Freya's slash managed to decapitate him, sending his head apart from his body.
Is this what it feels like to have your head cut off? Even though there wasn't any pain because it happened just now, but this sensation of not being able to move my head was very strange. Although I can still move my body, because I'm a vampire.
The right hand of Lucas' headless body moved, grabbed the detached head, and placed it again on the neck. In a matter of seconds, Lucas' head was fused with his body again, there wasn't even a scar on his neck. This was a vampire regeneration ability that wasn't mentioned in the system.
"That's scary you know?"
“It's scarier to see you still alive after having your head cut off by a light elemental sword.” Freya snorted in annoyance.
"I'm not just any vampire."
As creatures of the darkness element, vampires are weak against all kinds of light elements. But I am a human who was turned into a vampire by Carmila, the strongest Vampire. Obviously I'm on a different level than the average vampire.
Freya swung her two swords, and engulfed them with white flames. This white flame was called Infinity Flame, a skill that Freya could only use now that she had transformed with Dragonfication.
Lucas created hundreds of blades with Myriad Blood. This time he didn't fire it, but caused the blade to rotate around his body to protect it. That was what he thought, but Freya just charged at Lucas without minding the blades. When the blades of Myriad Blood came into contact with Freya, they did absolutely no damage to her. And let Freya swing the sword covered in white flames to cut Lucas just like that.
Despite panicking that his strategy had failed, Lucas still managed to use Acceleration to dodge Freya's follow-up attack. But to Lucas' surprise, Freya didn't launch any further attacks, Lucas knew why she was acting like that. Looking down, at his chest, at his wound, was a white flame that burned him. Pain coursed through Lucas' brain, but he just couldn't move, the pain he was receiving was paltry compared to anything he'd ever suffered.
“Infinity Flame,” Lucas casually said the flame's name. “A fire that will never be extinguished unless the user deactivates it, or the host occupied by the fire dies to ashes.”
“How about just surrendering and accepting instant death? If this continues you will only die in agony from being burned .”
“What kind of deja vu feeling is this?” Lucas felt that he had said something similar to what Freya had said, more precisely when he managed to stab Freya with the Myriad Blade. "I refuse."
Lucas took out the Devourer and ate the Infinity Flame. Even though the Infinity Flame was of the light element, as opposed to the Devourer who was of the darkness element, the Devourer could still devour it. But no points are produced.
Freya's eyes widened in surprise at the devoured Infinity Flame, she could hardly believe her trump card just disappeared. But she quickly fixed her expression, because surprise would only show weakness. Unfortunately it didn't escape Lucas' eyes.
“Clone, transformation, then fire.” Lucas casually listed all the things Freya had used against him. “All of that must require a large amount of mana, there's no way you still have that abundant mana. I can even confidently guess that you can't bring out that fire anymore.”
The Infinity Flame was a flame that didn't require the user's mana to stay lit, but it did require an enormous amount of mana to create it. Lucas knew that information a long time ago.
"I still have it here." Freya showed the sword in her left hand which was still covered in flames. Then he also pointed at the two swords her clone had. "The two swords that my clone used were also covered in flames."
"So what? It was easy enough for me to handle.”
“You're right,” Freya agreed with what Lucas said. "This fire also burned my sword after all."
Whether it was Freya or the clone dropped the sword. Before the sword fell to the ground, it had already turned to ashes.
