Cat's life is mayhem, doing violence to alien plants before they do unto her.  Death Valley is hot, dry, full of scorpions and rattlesnakes, and 70 miles across. Australia is hot, dry, has fifteen types of deadly snake, assorted equally nasty spiders, scorpions etc, crocodiles the size of a small car, super weird animals where even the cute fluffy things can kill, and it's two thousand miles across. Even the plants are malevolent.  Cat comes to visit.
