Little Iris is bleeding amid a field of vibrant flowers, her cries for her mother lost in the shadows.  A weird pendant around her neck starts to sparkle as her life fades away, and the flowers emit a heady scent.  The spectral image of her mother, a woman with heart-shaped eyes and ethereal beauty, appears from the perfume. She tells Iris the terrible truth: Iris is now the only chance in a fight against twenty ancient evils.  Armed with a pendant that contains the secret of her parents' abilities and a heart hardened by loss, Iris must rise from the ashes of despair after her parents' deaths and the destruction of her planet. Iris sets out on a treacherous quest to find the horrors that murdered her family because she is driven by a desire for revenge and a thirst for the truth.  However, she is forced to face her inner darkness as she learns the truth about the witch's knot pendant and the fate associated with its missing jewels.  Will she give in to the anger that drives her, or will she have the fortitude to respect her parents' sacrifice and go in a different direction?
