The eruption of the Red Mountain at the beginning of the 4th Era was the biggest natural catastrophe in the history of Tamriel. It caused the biggest wave of refugees Tamriel has ever seen. Thousands of Dunmer died and Morrowind was weakened, its Great Houses in disarray and its military incapacitated. Argonians in the south saw this as an opportunity and launched a large scale invasion that would cripple Morrowind for several decades. This war, called the Accession war brought misery to the Dunmer people, left thousands of dead and razed several cities.  Vadrys Daryl is a Dunmer smith living in Mournhold. With no prior military training, he finds himself in a situation where he has to fight to survive, and, hopefully, take back his people's land from the invaders. This story takes place in the world of The Elder Scrolls, which is a fantasy world from the well-known video games developed by Bethesda. The story takes place in the early fourth era, which is roughly between Oblivion and Skyrim. I try to be as lore accurate as I can. The Elder Scrolls is owned by Bethesda and I own only the story.
